PA12 nylon tube is a double-layer copper plated tube coated with organic material PA12 (polydodecalactam) after white zinc plating. Its greatest advantage is the coating thickness of nylon layer is 150μm-200μm ensuring its strong corrosion resistance and wear resistance, and the salt spray time is above 2000H. Now it is widely used in vehicle brake pipeline, power steering pipeline, fuel pipeline, fuel supply and return pipeline.
The bundy steel tube has fine inside cleanness, high strength, nice elongation, good foundation for late process , anti leakage, anti high pressure explosion, excellent anti corrosion power after surface treatment. It is an ideal material for tubes of  automotive industry.The tube can be provided in coils or cut to length,etc.Thickness of Nylon coating:≥150μm.

Description

Nylon coated steel brake line tubes are used by many automakers. The tubes with nylon coating is also called NyGAL coated brake lines.

It is described in PA12 , with min coating thickness 100-200 μm, ASTM A875, followed by a topcoat of Nylon 11 or 12.

Appearance: The topcoat shall be uniform in color and free from discontinuities such as flow lines, pin holes, craters, or abnormal roughness. The topcoat shall be black in color unless otherwise specified on the engineering drawing

Film Thickness: The Nylon PA11 or PA12 topcoat shall have a min thickness of 150 μm, average thickness 170 μm.

Salt Spray Testing (Normal): 1000 hr min before white rust shows, and 12000 hr min before red rust shows;

Salt Spray Testing (Gravel Impact):  2000 hr min before red rust.

PA12 nylon tube, the common forms are straight length (200m–6000mm) and formed tube (customized according to different customer needs); Common specifications are φ 4.76*0.7、 φ 6*0.7、 φ 6.35*0.7、 φ 8 * 0.7, other specifications can be customized.

The relative density of PA12 is 1.02g/cm3, which is low in nylon products; Because of its low content of amide group, the water absorption is 0.25%, which is also low in nylon. The thermal decomposition temperature of PA12 is higher than 350 ℃, and the long-term use temperature is 80-90 ℃. PA12 membrane has good air tightness, and the water vapor transmission rate is 9g/m2. PA12 is resistant to alkali, oil, yeast, inorganic diluted acid, aromatic hydrocarbon, etc. Therefore, PA12 is widely used in automobile pipeline system, such as multi-layer fuel pipeline system, vacuum brake booster pipe, hydraulic clutch pipe, central lubrication system pipe, etc. It can also be used for repairing inner tubes of industrial pipelines and contact expansion; Corrosive chemical industrial pipeline system. PA12 has good anti noise effect and is an ideal material for optical fiber sheath. It is also an excellent material for cable sheath to prevent termites and mice. The high toughness and strength of PA12 provide higher burst resistance pressure, which can be used as medium pressure natural gas transmission pipe. It has been applied in the United States, Western Europe and other countries. PA12 natural gas pipe can withstand higher working pressure and temperature than polyethylene (PE) pipe. PA12 natural gas transmission pipeline can withstand a pressure of 0.8~1.7MPa below 80 ℃, which can replace steel pipes within this range and is more competitive than polyolefin materials. PA12 is incompatible with most other plastic compounds. Even a small amount of other resin plastic pollution leads to turbid melt and finished parts. Therefore, before work, the plasticizing unit of the processing machine and all other melt channels should be cleaned very carefully. The materials of PA12 recycled materials must be free from foreign matters and dust particles, and the moisture content should be less than 0.1% by weight. A small amount of polymer, or even other polyamides, except for the same PA12 grade, will cause the corresponding molded parts to be turbid. If immediate post-treatment of waste is impossible, the gate or defective part shall be ground and stored in a moisture-proof bag, and it is necessary to reuse it after careful drying. The amount of recycled material added to the original PA12 material generally depends on some of the required properties, so the molded parts must be prepared by testing. If the end user’s requirements and specifications are allowed for the abrasive materials used, it is possible to add 25% of the recycled materials by weight. In some cases, such as thick wall profile extrusion, injection molded thick wall and high surface quality of optical elements or components, the particles should be dried in advance at any rate to prevent the formation of moisture streaks or uneven surfaces
